Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba is calling on community members to stop destabilising the construction project at Siloam District Hospital in Nzhelele near Louis Trichardt.

The MEC visited the project on Monday after the project manager raised some concerns about attempts to destabilise the project, which was launched by then President Jacob Zuma in 2011.

Ramathuba says it is concerning that some people continuously organise other community members to block the construction of a hospital that is being built to save their lives.

She says the people of Nzhelele need the new hospital because the infrastructure of the old Siloam Hospital is so dilapidated, they cannot renovate it.

Ramathuba says those who are concerned about the project must raise those issues with relevant structures.
